After training to be a journalist with the Guardian Manchester Evening News Group in the 1980s I worked in Manchester and London. After the Sunday newspaper I worked on made me and my new husband redundant we moved out of the city, north to rural Cumbria.
Our daughter was born in Cumbria and we have two dogs, two cats and two businesses - Chesworth Press Agency and Big Story Media Training Ltd.
